Modern Slavery
The board of KMX Care LTD is proud of the steps they have taken to eradicate slavery and human trafficking in our business. This statement is made on behalf of the board and published with regards to the Modern Slavery Act 2015, which requires large employers to be transparent about their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking in their supply chain. We are proud of the steps we have taken to combat slavery and human trafficking in KMX Care. We do not use supply chains, and this statement details our policies and practices in recognising and preventing human trafficking and slavery in our business.
Our structure:
We have been delivering health and social care services throughout the South for more than 10 years. We have 3 supported living homes across Sussex, supply a multitude of residential and hospital environments, and provide domicilary care and support to over 75 individual customers.
Our policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking:
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business. Our anti-slavery policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not taking place anywhere.

We have in place systems to:
Identify and assess potential risk areas.
Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring.
Monitor potential risk areas.
Protect whistle blowers
Key performance indicators to measure effectiveness of steps being taken:
No reports have been received from employees, the public, or law enforcement agencies to indicate that modern slavery practices have been identified.
Training on modern slavery and human trafficking:
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business, this policy forms part of the induction process for all individuals who work for us. Regular training will be provided on the policy and the risk our business faces from modern slavery as is deemed necessary. Our employees are encouraged to identify and report any potential breaches of our anti-slavery policy, and we have in place protection for whistleblowers.
